[REVIEW] JORDANA Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara

So here's another review (I've been active lately eh?). Another mascara to follow up from my latest mascara review.

I got this from Nyxwholesaleph which is already MakeUpInboxPh. You could go and check them out. They have bunch of American makeup. It's a pre-order site though so you need to wait for at least a month before it arrives on your doorstep. But hey, it's worth the wait. They offer the cheapest price anyway.

So back with the review, I got it for Php 145 pesos. Pretty cheap for a mascara.

I got this mainly because of the raves on youtube, blog posts and everywhere so I was intrigued with this product. Let's see if this lives up my expectations.

PACKAGING
I got it in a 301 Black. I believe they only came out with one color. The packaging came in a black tube with purple print on it. It came in sealed when I first got it which I really appreciate.

I like how on point the shade and shade number on the bottom of the tube.

On the back part of the tube, it has the shade, the amount of product, address of the manufacturer, website and on how long does it take before tossing it on the bin.

I love the wand on this mascara. It's not too huge and it doesn't poke my eyes.

(Close up look on the wand)

As you see, there are lots of product on the stopper. How did I manage to do that? Well, it's because of a downside of this mascara. When you pull out the mascara, it gets more products than you actually needed and I hate it. They placed stopper on the opening of the tube, why isn't it doing it's job?

UPDATE: I use the excess product as an eyeliner using an angled brush and I actually like how it turned out. What I do is I first draw a line on mu upper lids which serves as my basis, then I take the angled brush and follow the black pencil liner that I placed and tada! A super black eyeliner that dries easily on my lids.

APPLICATION
Moment of truth! Here's the mascara on action.

Look at those bare lashes.I was so tired so you could see my under circles. And, my eyes are naturally puffy so I really cannot do anything against it.

You see, you really can't see my lashes. (This photo made my eyes so light, maybe because of the lighting)

So that's a thin coat of mascara. Wait, no. This is not a thin coat. I think saying that this is one coat is better.

It gave me that volume, yes. But It clamped on my lashes like crazy. You really cannot tell it on my photos but I fixed it with the tip of an eyeshadow brush. I blame the stopper!

You see, it gave me volume than I wanted. It curled my lashes pretty well. I don't curl my lashes but this does the job, at least for me.

PERFORMANCE
Honestly, I'm not really into this mascara. For me, the formula is pretty heavy and somehow after application, I could still feel how wet it is, though when I blink, it doesn't really smudge on me. I don't see myself wearing this often. I usually go for natural looking lashes.

I don't know but I prefer my San San Mascara. It doesn't claim to be waterproof but it stays on all day, considering how hot and humid is it, here in the Philippines.

I'm not saying that I wouldn't use this forever, but I just hope that they do something on the stopper, make it narrower or something. The formula is good, the wand is good. My only problem is on how the bristles gets too much product which makes my lashes clamp. What I do is I wipe off the bristles on the edges of the opening of the tube and separate my lashes with something.

I can't see myself placing an order for this mascara again, not unless they change the stopper.

That's it for this review. I might be posting another review on Jordana products soon, so watch out for that.

[REVIEW] SAN SAN Waterproof Thick Lash Mascara

Hey there beauties. Another review! Yay! So here's a review on a mascara locally available in the Philippines. This is the San San Waterproof Thick Lash Mascara with Vitamin A, C and E.

Woot woot! So this costs more than a hundred pesos I think, I don't clearly remember. I have the worst memory in terms of prices. But I believe this is cheaper than some of the local mascaras available.

Together with this line, they also came out with "Long Lash". They only differ on the packaging (the long lash was in blue packaging) and the wand but pretty much, they look the same to me.

PACKAGING
It came in a silver and black packaging and as I remember, it came in a blue box when I bought this. I'm not really sure if there are other color aside from black which I got, but I'll update you on that soon. Nothing special on the packaging really.

I really like the wand though. It was originally straight but I bended it to make it easier to apply. Personal preference. It is a silicon brush by the way.

The stopper on the packaging helps you get the appropriate amount to avoid getting more product than you actually need which is a good thing.. at least for me. Getting more products makes my lashes clumpy and ugly and I do not want that.

APPLICATION
I love the formula of this mascara. It's not too liquidy but not too heavy too,

(Sorry for the puffy eyes and dark circles)

(Bare lashes)

(Sorry for my untrimmed and ungroomed brows)

As you can see, I naturally have long lashes (genes baby), well, at least that's how I see it.

(Side View with one coat of mascara)

(Front view with the mascara)

This mascara gives off natural looking mascara. It is not spidery and it doesn't clamp my eyelashes at all. It makes my lashes fuller and gives more volume. I like wearing my mascara as thin as possible so basically, you can apply more coats of mascara to achieve more intense look.

I don't usually curl my lashes, but with this mascara, it manages to curl it alone. I don't know if this works for others though but I like it that it gives me those curls.

PERFORMANCE
Honestly speaking, I really love this mascara. Yep, it has that awkward smell which may be bothering to some but at least for me it's not as bothering. Those who are super sensitive to smell should sniff the testers on store before buying it. I always use this at school and my classmates would complement me on how this baby makes my lashes so beautiful.

I don't know how it works on the "waterproof" part, but I remember that I cried once with this on and rubbed my eyes but it didn't smudge on me. I think it did a smudge a little bit on the outer corner of my eyes. Other than that, I really like it.It stays on for hours. It is easy to remove with my PureDerm Skin Solutions Make Up Remover.

I recommend this. :)

What are your thoughts on this mascara? Are we on the same boat? Do you love it? Do you have any suggestions? Post it on the comment box,

I hope this helped you on deciding on getting this mascara or not.

Note: Have you noticed that all pictures are taken on my left eye? Well, another review is coming up later tonight or tomorrow. :)

Which Course to Take?

When I was in my last year in high school, I had no idea what will happen after graduation. Honestly, I wasn't sure what course to take. I only took two entrance exams from the universities around my town and I didn't even took the exam from the university where I take my high school at. I know, I was too lazy to take entrance exams. But guess what, I have some tips for you on how you should choose your course.

I'm on my fourth year in college now and I would say, most of my classmates who shifted to another course was because Pharmacy was a choice of their parents or other relatives (though some gave up because it is really hard). Mind you, my decision on taking up Pharmacy was also because it was told by my uncle that it is a good course.

So! Let's start on my tips shall we?

KNOW WHAT YOU WANT
Think! Do you want to wear a white coat? Or a black gown? Or wearing a formal attire? Do you see yourself working at the hospital? Or banks? Offices? Schools? What was your childhood dream? Ok, this is hard, I know. But this is the most important thing. Knowing what you want to be as early as your childhood would make it a lot easier for you to decide on what course you are taking. But, your childhood dreams isn't always your dreams. As you get older, there will be circumstances that makes you change your mind and choose this course instead.

KNOW YOUR WEAKNESS/STRENGTH
If you're good in science, go to medical courses. If you're good in math, go to accountancy. If you're good in  drawing, go to an engineering school. Are you expecting me to say that? NO! Well, a lot of people do that but not necessarily everyone. It doesn't always mean that if you're good in something that you actually go for that. One of our teachers says that she's not good in memorizing but she survived pharmacy. Pharmacy has a whole lot of memorization going on. I'm bad at it too. I'm worst at it. But, somehow, it challenges me to strive better and see what I can do to get through it. Knowing your strength would help you understand on where you're good at..

SEEK HELP
Most high school if not all, has their guidance councilors. Ok, even if they are not guidance councilors, just your teachers and friends could help you at school. Then, you have your parents and relatives at home that you could talk to. Spend time discussing to them your concerns. Telling them would gain you advises BUT, you should decide for your own self so that you wouldn't blame anyone if something goes wrong.

TAKE TIME
Choosing your course doesn't only need an overnight. It needs to be thought, over and over and over again. You're deciding for your future. You're deciding on the path you are taking to success. Any decisions made will make a huge difference in the future, so, before deciding, you should really think hard if that is really what you want.

LOOK FOR A SCHOOL
There are lots of universities in the country (you could go overseas if you want). After deciding on what course to take, looking for the best university that would suit you is hard. The first thing that you need to consider is on which universities and colleges does your course offered. Then, on their system on how they could help you to be competent enough on your future profession. Look for their school standing on board exams (especially on your chosen course). Then of course, the tuition fee. Discuss this with the one who's giving you the money for your studies. A more prestigious school may be more expensive. Also, consider the location of the school. Do you want to move away from four family? Do you want to be near them? Distance makes people nuts. I personally hate being alone so I decided to stay on my town with my sister. Hehe.

FINISH IT
You've decided your course, you already know which school to go, now, my last advise is you finish it. Since it is you who decided on the course you are taking, you should stand up for your decisions. You should never give up and strive hard to reach your goals.

That's it guys. I hope these tips helped some of you. Have you decided on what course to take? What course are you taking? Did these tips helped you quite a bit? Write them on the comment box. :)

See you next time.. I'll be posting more so be prepared. :) If you have requests, feel free to comment.

[REVIEW] Nichido BB Cream Every Day Wear

I'm keeping my promise! I'm back with reviews! Yey! So yes, I'm doing review on one of the newest product from Nichido. I'm reviewing their BB Cream Every Day Wear. I believe they came out with tinted eyebrow gel together with this but let's go back to the main point! The BB Cream.

(Nichido BB Cream Every Day Wear)

So I bought this BB cream about a week ago and been using it ever since I got it. I just usually wear powder with primer underneath but ever since I got this, I decided to try it out, hence the name "Every Day Wear"

They came out with four shades: BB 01 Light, BB 02 Skin, BB 03 Natural and BB 04 Beige. I got mine in BB 04 Beige which is the darkest. It fits perfectly on my face even if I have dark skin tone. This is the only BB cream that matched with my skin tone since it is yellow based and dark enough for me. I have had the BB Creams from Ever Bilena and San San but they came out too light or too pinkish on my skin tone. The Ever Bilena one is good though.

(BB 04 Beige)

This BB Cream claims that it is Skin lightening, lifting, moisturizing, soothing and color corrector. It says on the back that it is an all-in-one beauty balm for a youthful looking and radiant complexion. Hmm. Looks promising.

PACKAGING
The packaging came in a "flesh" colored squeezable tube with black cap on it. It is small enough to fit most if not all makeup bags. You could toss it easily on your bag without taking to much spaces.

(My palm is considerably small. The product is so cute and tiny.)

(The thingy where your product comes out)

Also, another plus is that it came in sealed when you buy it and that would ensure you that the product was unopened by other consumers.

(Plastic sealed around the whole packaging: APPROVED)

Being a squeezable tube, it makes it handy. I don't think it needs a pump because the pump would take more space. Just saying. My opinion. Anyway, another is that Instructions on how to use it, Ingredients, Manufacturing Address, Manufacturing Date, Expiration Date (I consider the thing with 12M thingy expiration date since it means that you could use it after opening in 12 months, don't quote me for this though) and the amount of product.

(Complete labeling information)

PRODUCT
I like that it came in with yellow undertone. I believe every shades that they have has yellow undertone which is good especially that it is a Filipino product and most Filipinos are of yellow undertone.
(Yay for yellow undertone. Sorry for my eewy hand though)

One con though is the scent. I have no way of how to interpret the scent. It is not bothering though. If you are super sensitive to scent, try out their testers first and smell it. I don't know if I'm seeing it right but I can see no paraben on the ingredient list which is good especially those who are so sensitive on having parabens on their makeup products.

(No paraben? Am I seeing it correctly?)

APPLICATION
I have an oily, sweaty face. I accept that. I just apply it with my fingers. I apply this BB Cream with primer (Quick FX No-Shine Mattifier) under and a loose powder on top (Nichido Final Powder in Ivory Glow). There is no way I'll risk to wear this alone when I know for myself that I tend to oil up in few minutes. Come on! Upon application, it sets fast enough and doesn't feel sticky at all. I would say it has a light-medium coverage. It did cover up the redness on my face but not my dark acne scars or my huge pimple on my cheeks. It is lightweight and blends well with your skin and it feels like you haven't put anything on. I tend to get oily on normal days in few minutes (on  normal days I only have primer and powder). Yes, few minutes. But, somehow, with this BB Cream, it does't make my face like a grease ball. I only used two blotting papers and there are still unfilled spaces. WOW. I used it for 8 hours and still on my face as I write this review anyway. I could say that my face looks a lot flawless and a friend of mine actually noticed that I looked blooming.

(You can't really see it.. My bad.. But this is the BB Cream blended)

PRICE
It costs 238 pesos for a 20 mL tube. I got mine at my local Watsons and I believe that it is widely available, Just check out your Nichido counters and they might have these little babies. Quite pricey for me but its performance is good so I would say that the price is worth it.

Overall, I will repurchase it when I do run out of it. This is a good buy especially if you're someone like me who's looking for an every day wear BB cream.

Tips on Buying Online

Okay! I'm sorry if I've been gone for so long. I'm sorry for not replying to your comments and I know there is no right explanation for that, but I'm here now so I hope you forgive me. :)

Lots of people buy products from online due to its inavailability of a certain products in their places and buying online would cost less money. Let's face it. Mall price for drugstore cosmetics from the US is really expensive especially here in the Philippines. So here are just some tips that may or may not help you on your next purchase online.

Mainly, this post is about buying your cosmetics online. Online sellers are everywhere. We have them on instagram, facebook and some have their own sites. Some online sellers offers it onhand but there are also sellers who offers preorder to let you choose what your really want. Though, you'll need to wait a little longer.

There are five main things I consider when I buy online. One is the product that I really want to buy, and then, the seller I'm going to buy my items, and then the pricing, then thr payment and last but not the least their customer service. Let's discuss it one by one.

1. PRODUCT
Before anything else, you should know which products you are going to buy. Since it is online, colors, undertones, textures and other stuffs could not be seen through the seller's page. What I fo is I usually go to google and search for that particular product that I wanted to buy. Reading reviews and insights from other people who've tried it would give you an idea on how the makeup works. There are swatches online that would give you idea how they look like. I found a site which could match the foundation that you know your shade and gives you your corresponding shade. Iy is findation.com I believe. I haven't really tried it but I heard from a filipina youtuber that she tried it and I think it matches her. Also, I usually go to youtube to watch for first impression videos, swatches or reviews. I usually go to itsjudytime since she has an oily combo skin but mostly I go to anneclutz since she have oily skin and she's also living in the same country as me. These also helps even if you buy at your local department stores.

2. SELLER
Choosing the right seller is really hard. You could go and ask your friends on where they buy their cosmetics or look through the reviews and see where they bought their products. Since there are already lots of sellers online, it is really hard to choose on whom we could trust. Looking through the seller's feedbacks (comments, wall posts, tagged posts) would give you an idea on the satisfaction they gave to their consumers. Look for a seller who could satisfy yout needs and wants. Also, there are lots of sellers who are actually selling fake products so you should be aware of that.

3. PRICING
Online sellers offers different prices for their profucts and shipping. What I usually do is to look for the original price of the prodyct and convert it into our currency. Sometimes, it serves as my basis if the products that they are selling is authentic. Ok, it's noy 100% assurance that this will prove that they are authetic but those sellers who sells it lower than their original rlprice is insane. Who would want to loose a buck and loose profit? No one. They also need to pay for the freights  and transportation to get those products.

4. PAYMENT DETAILS
I do not have pay pal or credit card. Can I still buy online? Of course! Most of the online sellers do not have one either. They usually go for over the counter bank services or online transfer. But before placing an order and check out the products, you'll need to check first the availability of the bank in your place. What if you only have BPI on your place but they only accept payment from BDO. That's going to be a pain in the ass and sellers may think that you are a bogus buyer.

5. CUSTOMER SERVICE
Ok, this post is getting too long but we're on the last part so yay. :) Customer service is really important for me. You could get their contact informations through their information section. You could call, viber, text or send them email. The way they respond to their clients makes a huge impression for me. It makes me feel confident somehow to buy their products if they have good customer service. This will ensure you that they could give you answers even after shipping. You could also see how they respond to their buyers on hoe they reply on queries and questions posted.

So that's it. It was quite long and I hope this helps in your next purchase. Again, I'm sorry for being gone for the past few months but I've got lots of products on my list that I will do a review on this blog soon. :) if you have requests or questions, feel free to ask on the comment section below. I'll do my best to reply as much as I can.

Do you have more tips when you buy online? Post them below to help others as well. :)
